Shishir
14- 20th February | Andaman Islands
When the World Falls Silent, We Begin to Listen
In the hush of winter, when the air turns crisp and the sea slows its breath, we arrive at the threshold of sound and stillness. Shishir takes place on the untouched shores of the Andaman Islands, where movement becomes meditation, and silence becomes song. This is the season of refinement. Of subtle shifts. Of listening deeply to the rhythms that pulse beneath the noise. Rooted in Naad (sound) and Panch Kosh Santulan, this retreat invites you to soften into presence, attune to your body's intelligence, and experience rest as a sacred art.
In these six immersive days, we explore how the body moves, listens, and heals—through dynamic asana, sound work, and somatic practices. Held in the warmth and quiet of the Andaman Islands, the retreat offers a space to reconnect with your physical self in clear, intentional ways.
Experiences woven into the journey
-
Snorkeling
Float in the warm, translucent waters of the Andaman Sea, where silence lives in colour. Here, the reef becomes a world of sensation, inviting you to tune in, slow down, and see through stillness.
-
Beach Yoga
Move with breath as the ocean hums beside you, each wave a steady rhythm, each posture a quiet attunement. The shoreline becomes your mat, the sky your ceiling, and sound a gentle anchor to the present.
-
Nature Walk in the Thick Tropics
Step into a living forest, dense with birdsong, breeze, and breath. This is where perception sharpens, through rustling leaves, distant calls, and the soft crush of earth underfoot.
-
Sea Kayaking
Paddle along quiet mangroves and shifting tides, led only by your rhythm and the sound of water. With each stroke, a soft return to clarity, to inner balance, to the deep intelligence of movement.

The Sacred Land of the Andamans
A secluded sanctuary of turquoise waters, dense tropical forest, and rhythmic ocean tides, the Andaman Islands offer an ideal landscape for inner exploration through sound and movement. Havelock’s gentle warmth invites the body to remain open and fluid, allowing somatic practices to unfold with ease. The waves mirror the breath, the breeze carries the pulse of the earth, and every element supports the body’s return to balance.
Far from the constrictions of winter cold, this tropical stillness enhances the practices of classical yoga, breathing exercises, sound healing, Nada Yoga, and Panch Kosh Santulan—inviting deeper listening and embodied presence. Rooted in ancient harmony with nature, these islands become an extension of the retreat’s journey: where the sea sings, the earth hums, and the body begins to remember its own rhythm.

Where you’ll stay: Satya, Havelock
Our retreat finds its home on the serene shores of Havelock, where the whisper of the waves and the rustle of ancient trees weave together in a timeless symphony. Satya, a sanctuary built with the earth's own materials, sits nestled within this tropical paradise, where every breath of salty air carries the essence of the island's pristine beauty. Here, amidst white sand beaches and emerald waters, the spirit of the Andamans calls us to pause, reflect, and reconnect. This is where the retreat’s soul finds its rhythm.

Shishir is for anyone longing to move gently, listen deeply, and live more rhythmically.
Let the silence hold you. Let the sound guide you home.
