Grishm

10th-18th June | Ladakh

Samrasya | Where fire meets stillness

In the season of heat and intensity, when the sun blazes high and days stretch long, we seek not escape—but equilibrium. Grishm, unfolds in the serene vastness of Ladakh—where altitude cools the flame, and the land teaches us stillness. Here, guided by the principle of Sāmarasya—harmony in dualities—we explore the dance between strength and surrender, effort and ease.

A return to balance. A walking of the middle path.

Across nine deeply immersive days, Grishm offers a sanctuary for clarity and renewal. Through a blend of high-altitude breathwork, ritual, and cultural experiences, this retreat invites you to align with the rhythms of nature, tradition, and your inner world.

  • Begin your day at Thikse Monastery

where cymbals ring, chants rise, and monks serve tea in quiet reverence.

  • Witness the Cham Dance in Ladakh

a sacred swirl of masks, movement, and ancient storytelling.

  • Dye pashmina with Ladakhi artisans

blending mountain stillness with the earth sown palette.

  • A dynamic Yang flow to build heat. A grounding Yin practice to release it.

Together, they guide you toward samarasya—perfect balance under Ladakh’s summer sun.

  • Dr. Varun Veer

Widely regarded as one of the most profound yoga teachers of our time, Dr. Varun — founder of Lifeyoga — brings over three decades of wisdom and spiritual clarity to every space he enters. A master of dhyaan and yogic philosophy, Dr. Varun’s presence is to encounter stillness that moves, silence that teaches, and a luminous energy that awakens something essential within. His classes are not just practices—they are portals.

  • Pankaj Rana

A master teacher with over 20 years of international experience across India, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong, Pankaj blends anatomical precision with deep intuition. His classes are safe, intelligent, and transformative—empowering each practitioner to unlock their fullest potential on and off the mat.

The Sacred Land of Ladakh

Perched in the Trans-Himalayas, Ladakh is not just a landscape—it is a portal. Here, the mystical and the material co-exist in quiet harmony. Where prayer wheels spin beside ploughshares, and the air is rich with the scent of juniper and reverence. This is a land that holds paradox without conflict—where masculine meets feminine, austerity meets grace, and spirit lives in soil. In Ladakh, duality is not a divide, but a dance.

Where you’ll stay

Your home during Grishm will be the heritage sanctuary of Nimmu House and the serene Ladakh Sarai. Set in idyllic villages, cradled by the Zanskar mountains and flanked by the Indus River, both spaces honour Ladakh’s vernacular wisdom and beauty. From meals grown in local gardens to spaces built with earthen humility, comfort here is elemental—rooted in simplicity, soul, and a deep attunement to nature.

Feeling the Call?

Grishm is an invitation to find balance in a season of fire. For those craving clarity, gentle structure, and space to just be—this is a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what steadies you.
